Episode 85 – We are the Black Hole

April 22nd, 2009 · No Comments

Hey, it’s not because we suck. We just, well…. damnitt, I can’t think of anything clever right now. My own gravity is sucking away the creativity!  But no matter mi amigos, it’s Tiger Man time!

This week the Men from Mars peruse a plethora of pretty pictures and comic goodness. Will Spider Man propose to Mary Jane? Will Thor catch Loki in his latest evil act to over throw Asgard? Will Madame Masque get the better of Tony Stark. Wait, what? That wasn’t this week? Ah hell, there goes my memory!

I know the FX Con happened, Spider-Men got a lot of press and Marvel is teasing us like Richard Gere (Wait for it…. there ya go. Now you got it). Needless to say it was a wonderful week, so read on!

MARVEL HITS FX CON AND TALKS DARK REIGN

Plenty of goodness came out of this one. Hickman will be writing a Doom one-shot and Fraction is on Emma Frost.

The “Man behind the Door” will be revealed post Dark Avengers/X-Men, when Hickman will be taking control of things.

Rafa Sandoval will be the new Initiative artist starting with #26 and will bring back Dr. Sax and Johnny Guitar.

A one shot with Sentry? “There is something bigger being planned, they revealed. Something bigger than a one-shot, but smaller than an elephant.”

X-Men Legacy will keep going with old school mutants.

Finally, on the Hulk, “Who knows,” McCann said, wrapping up the panel, “perhaps we’ll have a battle for the torn purple pants!”

AMERICAN WHAT?

According to signs, something points to “American Son.”
